Painted a chalk board straight onto the wall. Taped off the section for the chalkboard, painted with chalkboard paint and then purchased trim, cut to fit chalk board and framed it out. (TIP: Chalkboard paint is just satin finish paint, paint the other walls in the room with satin finish so if the kids get a little chalk happy, it will wash right off! But dont tell them so they dont do it on purpose! lol)
Playful Kid's Dresser... If you don't like the look of an old dresser, update it with a bright color. Paint a forgotten dresser with bright pinkish-red chalkboard paint for a playful look that works perfectly in a kid's room. The dresser allows kids to use their imaginations by drawing or writing anything they want on it, keeping the walls safe from any unexpected drawings.
