Restaurant Le Train Bleu at the Gare de Lyon

Paris-Lyon-Mediterranean (PLM) Company built the restaurant for the 1900 Exhibition. It was renamed “Le Train Bleu” in 1963 to celebrate the “Paris-Vintimiglia” line & granted historical monument status in 1972. It's famous for the forty-one paintings, including landscapes traveled through by the PLM trains, waxed parquet flooring, wood panelling, and long, leather-upholstered wall-seats. Regulars have included Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot, Salvador Dali and Jean Gabin. [3rd of three pins]
