DIY: shimmering new year's streamers

Leftover holiday paper gets a fresh start when used to make decorations for a New Year's party. We used metallic paper to make two decorations: streamers of shimmering circles that descend from above like the Times Square ball and a set of party-worthy tray liners for serving drinks. For a final bit of recycling, we grabbed small tart tins from the kitchen and used the shiny containers to hold tea lights.

DIY lighted branch artwork. I REALLY want to make this for my HA room next year to brighten up the bare white walls!

Contact paper! Such a great, inexpensive way to decorate...& it's removable!! Prefect for base/post housing or anywhere you can't paint!

I painted a branch with white paint. Cut out a few flowers and put it on the branch... spring all year around in my house!
