Chickpea, Chilli and Coriander Cakes with Marinated Red Onion Salad

Serves 6


8 oz Chickpeas
2 Chillies, small red
1/2 oz Coriander, fresh
3 Garlic cloves, large
1 Green pepper, small
1 Juice 1 lemon
1 level tsp Lemon, zest
1 Onion, small
3 level tbsp Picked coriander, leaves
1 Red onion, medium
1 Zest


1 Egg, large


1 Dessertspoon lemon juice

Baking & Spices

1 heaped tsp Coriander seeds
1 Salt and freshly milled black pepper
1 level tsp Turmeric
3 level tbsp Wholemeal flour or chickpea flour

Oils & Vinegars

2 tbsp Groundnut oil

Nuts & Seeds

1 heaped tsp Cumin seeds


2 oz Butter


1 X 500 g tub greek yoghurt
