Olafur Eliasson -The weather project was installed at the London's Tate Modern in 2003 as part of the popular Unilever series. The installation filled the open space of the gallery's Turbine Hall. Eliasson used humidifiers to create a fine mist in the air via a mixture of sugar and water, as well as a semi-circular disc made up of hundreds of monochromatic lamps which radiated yellow light.
Yayoi Kusama - JApanese artist precursor of the pop art, minimalist feminist art movements, Kusama inspired contemporaries such as Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg. after experiencing psychiatric problems, in 1977 she voluntarily admitted herself to a hospital, where she has spent the rest of her life. Major retrospectives of her work have been held at the Museum of Modern Art and Tate Modern, whilst in 2008 Christies NY sold a work by her for $5.1 million, a record for a living female.
