The 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot Officer's sporran cantle. A cantle measuring just over 8 inches in width with thistles etched,to the centre, in silver is a Sphinx upon a tablet inscribed "EGYPT" with the numerals "9 2" below. A silver rope encircles the device. To the rear, all items are secured by silver wires. Pre-1881.
