Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in Kentucky and the nation. Join us tonight for a very important Health Three60 to learn more about causes, prevention, and Kentuckians who are working hard to combat it. Also join us on Twitter at @KET using #healththree60 as we share the important facts, figures and advice from the program's panelists live throughout the show.
KET's Renee Shaw talks with Shelby Jenkins, a 2012 graduate of Kentucky State University, who was named Miss Black Kentucky this year. Jenkins, who was adopted out of foster care when she was an infant, has been speaking out about adoption and hopes to reach out to foster children during her time as Miss Black Kentucky. Shelby says Miss Black Kentucky is about health and education. She wants to be an advocate for heart disease and foster care.
