I bought this plant last summer because I was intrigued by the spiral leaves. Let it say outside (potted) all summer and brought it in to live in a sunny window around the end of Oct. ( I'm in GA) The stalk started shooting up early Jan. and was in full bloom by the end of Feb. lasting about a month. I think it is now supposed to start going dormant until the fall. Very cool and unusual plant.

Bougainvillea Tree. They do well in hot, dry areas, like Texas, Florida, and Arizona. So if you live in one of those states, you should plant one of these immediately.
