Totally funny, but real, what does it matter to anyone on what a person decides to put in their mouth?
where is buger king??????
The health care bill is what makes it matte to everyone what people put in their mouth, and frankly insurance in general makes others concerned. Every person who is overweight or obese puts themselves at a considerably higher risk for many diseases ad hikes up the cost to the American people on insurance and taxes that pay Medicare medicaid and the healthcare bill. Every extra charge they incur raises insurance costs that much more. It's funny how of you have cancer or arthritis insurance companies won't insure you, but of you're huge, you won't be discriminated against. It's wrong because eating buffets and fast food all the time are just as bad as smoking. There should be a weight tax or at least an increased insurance cost so the rest of us who work our butts off to stay a reasonable weight are not paying for it. Just an FYI for all of you who ask why we should care. As for the art, it speaks volumes.
Of course eating out all the time is unhealthy. It is best to eat a home cooked meal. The only problem I have is who decide's who is healther for insurance coverage? I know of many of people who are skinny and are very unhealthy and have canver, are dibetic, etc. So a "weight" range is not necessarly a reliable factor on who is healthy, so many other things are a factor. As far as a fat tax, that is just a very closed singluar concpet. Thus the problem with the helathcare bill. All to a end, I don't understand how we can have fat, overweight people and skinny, starving people at the same time. Which is it? It can't be both.

This picture sums it up folks, we need to take back our health and eat REAL organic and living foods and not this processed fake GMO junk. Please support alternative health and follow my health pinterest page :).
Yeah, all of us fat people are hiking up your insurance rates. dont skinny people have heart attacks too? Strokes? Stress is a major factor too, and genetics. Not just obesity.
Well said kirstyn!
wow... really, my being overweight hikes up your insurance... for 1 I don't have diabetes, don't smoke don't drink, normal cholesterol , decent blood pressure, and haven't been sick enough to see a doctor in years.. however genetics, yah that doesn't help my weight, can I lose weight .. yes... do I blame others... no... do I eat at fast food... never.. how rude to say a larger person makes others pay more... so uneducated
Donna Kelly, I agree completely! We had this debate when the aids epidemic was at it worst! Homosexuals were causing our rates to sky rocket. There are many groups we can blame for all our problems! But until we address the drain on our resources caused by all the illegals in our country, and all the welfare lifers, then shut up about weight!
Angela, are you really preaching against scapegoating in one breath and then using groups of people to scapegoat in the next breath? I'm hoping you are just being ironic. Insurance companies have had skyrocketing profits all through our financial meltdown. If you need to blame somebody for skyrocketing health care costs, blame those who are reaping unheard-of profits. We need change in our medical industry, not blame for fat people, restaurants, smokers, anorexics, illegals, or poor people. Seriously, people use the brains God gave you. Connect the dots. See the bigger picture and realize the people must ban together and help each other to form a better society.
if average women on pinterest (not trying to sound rude, justcan figure this shit out, why can't the American Government...?
(not trying to sound rude, just stating the obvious)*.. the comment posted before I finished! ):
Because the government is mainly dumbass men and not women. I have always said that if nurses ran health care it would be so much cheaper. We waste so much on dead people.
Anyway...so back to the pin...
The picture doesn't indicate anything about government or legislation. Simply that eating the food from those places makes you fat, and probably somewhat immobile, which should be fairly obvious to anyone who isn't overly attached to low quality, fattening food. Interesting how defensive people get about it though.
It's simple really. Knowing the nutritional value (or lack thereof) people make the choice to eat fast food. Government can't make you. Same with smoking. The difference is that second hand smoke is harmful to others. Consuming this junk is all on your shoulders. Hopefully these places either shut down or stop selling cancer causing food.
Thanks for nice sharing.
Because" average women on pinterest" are exactly who needs to figure it out...we all need to take responsibility for what goes in our own mouth... And if we don't want obese children we need to take care of it at home... Do we really need the government telling us what we can and can not eat... ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS AND THAT OF THE CHILDREN YOU BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD WOULD BE NICE..
True the government does not decide what we eat. However, the leaders we put incharge of regulating these industries are corrupt with 'deals' with these industries.
Why is it cheaper for people in poverty to feed their entire families for 5$ at mcdonalds in contrast to when you can barely afford to prepare a nutritious meal at the grocery store. Diabetes then occurs trapping people more in poverty of needing medications, unable to afford healthy foods.
Thank You for pinning.
i know right mc donalds is so fattning
It's just a picture...
Throwing up from a virus or ate something that's churning your stomatch? Just drink a swig of vinegar. You might have a hard time drinking it, but it will start working immediately. Don't get dehydrated.
Obesity is an epidemic, from a combination of lifestyle and eating choices. This is going to piss some people off, but obesity is rarely genetic. Less than 5% of the American population actually has a genetic reason for obesity (Speiser et al., 2005, Consensus Statement: Childhood Obesity). There's a crazy amount of research into obesity, check it out.
It's actually cheaper and healthier to go to the grocery store and buy healthy but not expensive things and make it yourself, peoples are just too lazy and think they're getting a better deal since they haven't done their homework on nutrition as well as figuring out the sum of their food they're buying
yeah, that's really curved
...is more expensive. So the government does have some control.
nice.hey all please see my board and dont forget to follow me.i will follow back
I do agree, when educated, its a choice. However---not everyone is educated about nutrition, which might be shocking to some people. I worked with kids in the inner city and most didn't even realize there was a nutrition label on the back of foods. Many of their parents weren't around to cook wholesome meals and often resorted to fast food. Some kids didn't have a family vehicle to go grocery shopping and therefore had no food in the house. My students didnt know what carbs, calories or hydrogenated oils were, nor did they really care because if they were hungry they would not turn down the food given to them. When you live a life unaware, it is hard to break the cycle. Thankfully there are programs that are currently small but growing which introduce inner city youth and parents to farmers markets and fresh produce. Healthy food is only cheaper if you know what to do with it, and still even I find that fresh fruits and veggies really slam my grocery bill.

Alexis, very good points , for some people it is a very long climb to get out of a challenged upbringing.
Everything in moderation!
We make our own choices, and hopefully healthy choices regardless of where we dine! Self awareness is essential.
That's the reason I like pinterest so much - Beautiful!
