I just completed this t-shirt quilt using my "fan" shirts from my daughter's collegiate gymnastics career. 4 years, 4 shirts--so I filled with Snail's Trail squares in different sizes because they look like flips. I also pieced a one inch piano key border, and set it off from the main quilt with a one inch inner border. I stabilized the t's with a lightweight woven bonded fabric. Backed with flannel. T's are stippled but not over the printed portions. Fun to do!
easy lap quilt by tcockburn2002, via Flickr I cut 10 x 5 rectangles from various red fabrics, created blocks using two different red panels, and then did a fence row-esque pattern, alternating vertical and horizontal placement. Simple straightline quilting and used strips of reds for my binding. Used a bedsheet for the backing in a nice grey.
