not so much kid's books. #HarryPotter o-o

I've always thought that the Potter books grew with me. The first came out when I was in first grade, and was at my reading level. The books slowly became more and more articulate, and by the time the seventh came around I was an adult and Voldemort was torturing Neville. I feel this is why the books mean so much more to our generation. Ask someone today to pick up the series, and they stop half-way through. The first book simply isn't written for adults.

I love who ever wrote this, because I got into an absolutely AWESOME fight once with a stuffy professor who dismissed Harry Potter because she had tried to read the first book. I told her she had no right to judge something she hadn't read and that she didn't know what she was talking about. Primary sources people!

I suppose I grew up with these books. the first one came out the year I was born, so I didn't start reading them until I was 7, so they were among the first books I ever read. When my primary school was chosen to be the first school in the state to release book 7, I was so excited that I put my order form in first out of the whole school and my picture ended up in a local newspaper. I'm not sad that the series is over, because each time I open one of the books, I start the adventure again

The kids of Harry Potter would be able to get out of anything!
