There are no evergreen, shade-growing or drought-resistant lawn grasses and nothing, hand-over-heart, will improve the year round, but especially winter, look of your yard than replacing the areas of the lawn that you don't absolutely use all the time with a variety of evergreen ground covers and hardscape pathways. Plus, no mowing!!! I got you at no mowing, didn't I?
