I have never had an Airedale but I got attacked by one and had to have staples put in my head. Idk if being kinda shady is normal for the breed, I can't see one without shivering. And I am kinda scared of big dogs now especially when they growl or bark at me. I just want to know if the Airedale is normally nice one minute and then ready to tear you apart the next........ :(
I have never known an Airedale to do anything like this. They are big, loving clowns, full of kisses. They are very protective if their family. I can only think that maybe the one you encountered was sick or felt he was protecting someone/thing. They are not mean dogs:) so sorry you had this experience!
Ok it must have been the dog then. :) thank you for the help!
Thanks To All who commented on my post. I still want one so badly! My only hesitation is being able to provide plenty of exercise! I know I could give it plenty of love!!! (My back yard is not a large one!). One more question...Is this breed similar to a Labradoodle?
I can walk/run about a mile everyday- I'm assuming that's enough.
