Those photos are of the "Conceal" Invisible Bookshelf by Umbra. What looks like a bookend is more than that - it has a tiny lip to hold the bottom cover of the base book. There are instructions online for invisible bookshelves, but this example is not it.
Thanks for the clarification...I was looking at this picture thinking, "now how does the bottom book cover stay up...?" I guess you could technically take a bookend like this and just stack the books on top, but it would be much less sturdy I think.
COOL! where can i find those
Can you please tell me were did you find these floating bookshelves?
I would like to know too.
Just do a Google search for "Conceal Bookshelf by Umbra". Several online retailers sell them, including Amazon. I don't know any offline stores around here that sell them.
How does the bottom book cover stay up?
Barnes and Noble sells them. @Brittany, there's a lip at the bottom that holds the back cover.
