I know you may cringe when I mention my child sexual abuse and I understand. The mere thought of an adult harming a child in any way should make you cringe. BUT....... CPTSD ~ It is not uncommon for a child to believe that they "have died" after being molested or raped. The event is so traumatizing it is the equivalent of being murdered.
