Well, well, well!
Made this wkend; here are my tips. Be sure to buy SWEET TEA vodka (I used lemon & tea flavored which was clear), or else you won't get the nice brown color to your lemon jello-as is pictured-from the tea ingredient. This yielded enough jello mix to fill about 6-7 lemons/12 lemon 'cup' halves/24 shots. I made jello per the box instructions but substituted 1 cup of the vodka for the cup of cold water. They came out strong but tasty! I also found that using your hands to remove the lemon pulp was the most efficient method, but be sure not to get too aggressive when cleaning as some of mine had small holes/became too thin from me scraping & jello leaked out. Another tip is to cut off the 'tips' from your lemon halves before pouring in jello mixture so they sit better in your pan to refrigerate. I waited 15 mins to pour the 1 cup of vodka into the jello mix+1 cup hot water, just to ensure the potency of the vodka :) I refrigerated for 8 hours & the jello set perfectly.Big hit at my party!
