Words mean nothing when they aren't matched with actions. Apologies, expressions from the heart, poems ~ how can you consider them of value when the way you treat someone from day to day does not live up to your words? The things you DO make them invalid. No one is perfect and everyone fails. But those that try to do the right thing usually do. It’s rather easy when there is respect, consideration and compassion. When I wonder how/why/what happened, it helps to realize that it's a GOOD thing I don't get it. That means I could never treat someone the same way. I am proud that I DON'T understand. Moving on is not an option for someone who is genuine. Sometimes the emotional yo-yo slams you so hard that you don’t have the strength to work your way up the string again. That is real failure. When you no longer have the courage to try. When you try until your spirit is defeated. People aren’t always as strong as they appear.
