Is that FAIR? Ask kids to imagine that they are hurt somewhere on their body. Each kid takes turns telling counselor where they hurt, and counselor puts a bandaid on their hand. Eventually one kid will say "but I said my knee hurt! why do I get it on my hand?" And conversation opens up to a talk about fairness.

Tired of hearing, "That isn't fair!" This activity is a great way to help children understand that fair isn't when everyone gets the same thing...it's when everyone gets just what they need. All you'll need for this lesson is a big box of Band-Aids and some time for class discussion. Love the simplicity and impact of this lesson!
