A trend we are seeing on the runways as well as in advertisements are the use of androgynous models. This Toyota commercial shows just that. The use of female models with a very masculine appearance as well as men with very feminine features is becoming more and more popular. -Katie Patchin
If I'm ever asked to define "objectification" I just might show this Fiat ad from Superbowl XLVI in response. It's not that complex: the woman is the car/the car is the woman... BTW, I'm told the English translation of what she's saying is: "What are you looking at? Uh! What are you looking at? (slap) Are you undressing me with your eyes? Poor guy…you can't help it? Is your heart beating? Is your head spinning? Do you feel lost thinking that I could be yours forever?"
