Arts & Crafts style kitchen - curved cabinet bottom, multi-level counter, undercounter microwave

I should be looking at the bar here but I love this red. I really want a red wall in my kitchen or somewhere in my house.

Multi level is a good idea. You can have a place to sit and eat but it doesn't take away from the counter space on the other side. And you can put outlets on it, which is helpful for food prep.

I love the elements that Cindy selected such as the straight edge on the white marble and the slate floor. The counter stools are from Restoration Hardware.

I love this option: a roll-around cabinet, it can be tucked under the counter just like a regular cabinet, but then pulled out as an optional island. You would have to keep non-delicate items in the cabinet if you are moving it around a lot. Maybe tupperware and basking utensils-plastic and light

bar counter for area between table and/or living room area and kitchen

We figured we needed some sort of dining table, plus more kitchen counter space, space to work at our laptops, plus general storage... all without taking up precious living room space. What better solution than to use the Expedit bookcase on its side as a storage base for a kitchen/dining counter!

Take a country kitchen to the next level with a good farm sink, fine art, and interesting lighting. Added texture comes by way of the tongue and groove wainscot/backsplash and pretty window treatments.
