There's no wax. I did see your painted furniture board after I asked you this! So sorry. I am really terrified. But I see all this painted furniture and I know I want to paint them. It will seem like I got something new! I paid for them, so if I mess up. Its on me! :( Ok. I am going to do this. I doubt I will use any joint compound, I will just let it come out as it will. I am almost excited girl! Gaahhh! Scared tho. I so need a china cabinet for my kitchen now. I will paint it, even if its got plastic parts! I just want one now! Gotta look at thrift stores. People are getting rid of them. Nobody has a dining room anymore. I just love the look. Thanks so much. You always make me brave! You are very helpful. Thanks again. :)
If you don't want to spackle...at least do 2 coats of primer...that will help with the grain. You can do it...and once you do you will be so proud of yourself :))
Thats what I thouht. My solid pine varnished paneling took 3 coats of primer, 4 coats of paint. But it looks fabulous now. But took me forever. All the tongue and grooves, very time consuming. I didn't even sand it. LOL! I just dipped right in. Its wonderful. I am proud of it. I know from doing oak hardwood floors, that sanding between coats of varnish is key. I will just do it and make it right. I'm calling you if I start crying. LOL!!! Thanks again.
Post pics when you're done :)
It might be a pic of me standing by a bonfire crying! LOL
