American Psychological Association http://www.apa.org/monitor/... "Several studies suggest that gay men, lesbians and bisexuals appear to have higher rates of some mental disorders compared with heterosexuals, although not to the level of a serious pathology. Discrimination may help fuel these higher rates." The article goes on to say that they don't know if discrimination plays a factor because no one is doing studies on it. Much of the research out there gets twisted around. Many studies don't ask people their sexual orientation or the gay population is too low in numbers to get funding to study. So these studies in your link don't really prove that being gay is unhealthy. The scientists don't have enough data to prove that. Wouldn't it be interesting if more research was done in this area and it came out that the reason for gay people not being as healthy or gay kids committing suicide was because of the stress of discrimination!
