Bangkok abandoned skyscraper
Ani – some call it the City of 1001 Churches, others the City of Forty Gates. Yet no one has called it home for more than three centuries. Abandoned by its once prosperous and powerful inhabitants, it is situated on the Turkish side of a militarised zone between the border of Turkey and Armenia.
Hashima Island also called Battleship Island is an abandoned coal mining facility and city off the coast of Japan near Nagasaki. It was developed in the 1900's to mine coal underneath the island. During WWII the Japanese brought in Koreans to mine the coal on starvation rations. The coal mine was closed in 1974 and shortly after the island was abandoned.
