Wacker Building, Chicago

The lovely Fine Arts Building. Originally built in 1884 as a Studebaker sales, service and manufacturing building, it became an artist's colony in 1885 and has remained an artist's colony to this day. Located right on Michigan Avenue, legends including Frank Lloyd Wright and Lorado Taft once had offices there. The elevators are original and continue to be run by actual "elevator operators." #architecture #Chicago #design #FrankLloydWright bit.ly/hCjt8Y
