BURLAP AND TOILE ACORNS DIY
"The road is a river of ice, slick and unforgiving. A harsh sweep of white iron, smooth as glass and cold enough to freeze any uncovered inch of flesh to the surface. Hillocks and haystacks rise up, isles in a smoking brume. Here and there snow has blown aside, revealing the line of the great white stone road that slices through the hills." — from the novel SINFUL FOLK
"Curse him, root and branch! Many of those trees were my friends creatures I had known from nut and acorn; many had voices of their own that are lost for ever now. And there are wastes of stump and bramble where once there were singing groves. I have been idle. I have let things slip. It must stop!" ~ The Lord of the Rings | Treebeard on Saruman cutting down the trees, Chapter 'Treebeard'.
To make sure that the pine cones used in decorating are critter free...bake at 200 for 45 minutes...good to know ~
Dishfunctional Designs: Decorating & Crafting With Pine Cones
Last year I was sitting talking with a friend and she picked up an acorn. For a few minutes we were able to sit and just admire the tiniest details of something so small and yet so intricate and that God cared enough to create such beauty and wonder all around us. That's what acorns now always remind me of :)
