Rainbow Freckled Snakes Make For Unique Pets - This has to be one of the coolest corn snake morphs I've ever seen. Corn snakes, along with other types of captive snake species, can come in a multitude of morphs based on selective breeding. In this case, however, a wild caught corn snake displaying this morph was found in South Carolina in 2008. That's where it gets its name from - the Palmetto Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus), after the Palmetto State (South Carolina).
I'm Green With Envy For These Eyes - Being one of the largest geckos found on earth, Smith's Green-eyed Gecko (Gekko smithii), is also blessed with some very big, beautiful, blue-green eyes (don't you just love alliterations?) These geckos reach lengths of 355 mm (14 inches) which is pretty awesome, I think.
A Marbled Salamander After My Own Heart - Another mole salamander much like the previously posted Barred Tiger Salamander is this Marbled Salamander. Both appear to be pretty happy fellows, judging from the large smile on this salamander's face and the Tiger's. However, unlike the Tiger Salamander which can grow up to 14 inches in length, the Marbled Salamander typically only reaches a measly 4 inches. Kind of a bust.
The Gecko and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - This breathtaking gecko is the Réunion Island day gecko (Phelsuma borbonica). I remember a play back in highschool we did called Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and instantly this gecko reminded me of it.
