Manicure tricks w/ tape. One of mine to add is to use a scrapbook punch on painters tape (must be a tiny design) & place on nail. After 2nd coat of color or matte coat has dried. After placing "sticker" top with opposite finish or color polish. When you make your punch try to put a bit of tape around a corner facing up to be used as a tag to pull it off the nail.
All black everything: 1) black polish, 2) matte topcoat, 3) 1/4" stripes (using tape), 4) stripes in black polish, 5) use a dotting tool to make dots in various sizes, 6) peel back the masking tape to reveal stripes! | Photo and tutorial by Kristin Ess for The Beauty Department #nailart #mani #manicure
1)You'll need freshly pained (& dried) fingernails in your color of choice, a loofa, a makeup sponge & white acrylic paint. 2) Cut a loop of your loofa so you have just one layer of netting. 3) Pull loofa netting over fingernail at an angle. 4) Dip makeup sponge into acrylic paint. 5) Gently dab sponge onto nail. Finish!) When it dries finish with a clear topcoat :-)
1.Start by painting the nails white. 2.paint blue, pink, green or whatever color you love on a piece of tape. Wait for it to dry and cut it into thin strips. You’ll need 6-10 strips per finger. 3.Lay 3-5 strips horizontally on the nail. 4.Then lay the other 3-5 strips vertically. 5.Trim the excess with cuticle nippers. 6.Apply a quick drying top coat to seal your gingham pattern.
