World War I - Postcard Seaforth Highlanders

General Tani Masuo, the man who oversaw the Nanking Massacre, was executed in March 1947 after being found guilty of war crimes by the war tribunal set up by Chiang Kai-shek. Poetically, at least in the eyes of the tribunal, Masuo’s executioner was a Chinese veteran who survived the Battle of Nanking.
