Get creative with your containers. This living gate rolls open to let you in and rolls closed for privacy. The structure starts with a galvanized horse trough filled with soil and planted with arborvitaes. A wooden brace attached to an old piano dolly on the bottom allows the container to move with little effort.

RAISED BEDS AND GRAVEL - make a lovely, manageable, organized garden. They keep pathway weeds from garden soil, prevent soil compaction, provide good drainage and serve as a barrier to pests such as slugs and snails. The sides of the beds keep valuable garden soil from being eroded or washed away. Raised garden beds also reduce back strain when bending over to tend the bed.
