The Fort MacArthur Museum Association: Welcome!
Knott's Berry Farm. We went there a couple of weeks ago and loved it. It was a totally new experience with kids. I only went on one roller coaster ride the whole day and had a blast just hanging out at Snoopy Land and in the western-themed Ghost Town with the boys.
Balboa Park--14 museums, beautiful free gardens, free tram rides around the park... we LOVED going here and can't wait to go back to San Diego and see more of this place!
The Wildlife Center is a non-profit animal sanctuary nestled in an old olive grove in Sylmar, CA. We are home to over 70 species of rescued and zoo-born animals, ranging from lynx and servals to eagles and pythons. Nearly all of our animals travel to schools, libraries, birthday parties and corporate events to educate children and adults about the importance of nature.
Wildlife Learning Center (in Sylmar) rescues wildlife and educates the public about the environment. It is like visiting a very small zoo but you get the chance to see and touch animals up-close. They do a "trainer talk" every hour on the hour and they let the kids touch the animal they bring out.
