I wouldn't pay retail for one of these as it's pretty simple to DIY - but a ladybug "feeder" is a must for a gardener who prefers a natural way to get rid of aphids, mites, and most other insect pests to the garden. If there's not enough aphids/mites/etc., for them to prey on, keep some raisins in here or a lady bug attractant to have these voracious pest-eaters around always.

How to Plant Garlic Buy garlic at your local grocery store. Separate into separate cloves & pick the biggest ones to plant. Plant the garlic “root” end down. Plant the cloves 4" apart & the pointed tips are covered by 1-2" of dirt. Once the scapes form during the summer, pinch them off so the plant’s energy can go towards forming the bulb, not the scape flower. By August, the plant leaves will start to dry out & turn brown. Once all the leaves & stems are brown, they’re ready to harvest.
