Jarlshof - near Sumburgh, Shetland Islands, Great Britain; the Viking settlement of the Jarlshof site was hidden until a storm in the late 1800s exposed some of the remains from late Iron Age buildings (before 800 AD); built in a circular fashion around a central hub with small rooms and storage areas leading off of it. 1. Kayak the Medina River Winding through tunnels of towering bald cypress trees on its way to Bandera, the Medina River doesn’t get the crowds that flock to the Guadalupe River. KAUAI - inner tubing tour through the canals and tunnels of an old sugar plantation - this looks awesome!
This is totally sublime.. Austria's Green Lake in the Hochschwab Mountains is a hiking trail in the winter. However, when the snow quickly melts in early summer it creates a completely clear lake. The lake has a grassy bottom, complete with underwater trails, park benches, and bridges to explore!

Piz Gloria / Schilthorn summit, Switzerland. This is the only revolving restaurant I'll ever admit visiting, and the only time I'll ever link to a James Bond website... The cable car to the top is very expensive, and the best discount is with a SwissRailPass (rather than a EurRail pass). The views are spectacular; check the webcam online to make sure the weather up top is clear before you go. The Bond movie is a must-see - vacation homework!
