Barbara I understand where you are coming from but it is still trademark infringement. A good Using a trademark without the trademark owners permission infringes trademark law. You can sell your star wars items, barbie, coke bottles, etc. but she is taking a trademark and making a new item and then selling it as her merchandise.

Yes I understand. I went and done more research on this subject and the whole thing sounds very confusing... I etched bottles. You can see them in my items i made board. My understanding is this if I etched on a coke bottle then claimed that the coke bottle is of MY making then sold the bottle that would be trade mark infringement but if I was to entitle it say etching on a coke bottle then sold it as my art work i dont see the problem. This is only my opinion because the US laws are not totally clear on first sale rights what you are allowed to do with YOUR item after you brought it. Lol after doing my research i wanted to pull out my hair because it all sounds crazy but thank you Julie for trying to help me understand :-)

Another thing is this scarf a new item? I see a lot or crafters calling things like this repurposed not new.

Had a tshirt quilt made of all my college shirts and I LOVE it!! I could have made it myself since I've made quilts before but was worried I'd mess up and ruin my treasured shirt!!
