Front Foyer (from Practical Magic set).If you look close you will see that the hard wood flooring is wide plank and stained black. Now I do have a room where I have painted the wood floor black and it is the only floor in the house that looks dirty all the time. I seem to remember from the book that the aunts were not much into cleaning . So I think that a more practical floor would be better.

BLOOD SOAKED CANDLES Fill a cup or a small pail with sand, and plant white candles inside so they stand upright. Light a red candle and tip it over the white candles so the wax drips down the tops and sides, being careful not to burn yourself. Let wax cool completely before removing candles from sand
