the old folks used the apple peel. I did it once and it was kinda weak, but they say you can just keep putting the peels in there and transfer the 'mother' and itll get stronger. I didnt go clear into this site so im only guessing it doesn't say that.

The first time my kids heard me say something about the "mother" in ingrate they laughed and laughed!! They had no idea I was serious, thought I was making something up. Then they thought it was bad and not supposed to be there. Lol. I'm gonna try to make some. It's much better. I've never done it myself and I don't even know why not, it's so easy.

well, all you do is set it outside for a while and let the yeasties fall in. there are 1000's of yeast types in the air all the time.

Keep this in mind if you start seeing lots of spiders around your place. Natural spider killer or preventer... take one cup of vingar, one cup of pepper, a teaspoon of oil and liquid soap. Put it into a spray bottle and spray along the outside of your outside door and along windows

¾ cup water, 3 Tbsp corn starch, 4-7 Tbsp household bleach. Mix water and corn starch in a small pan. Bring to boil, stirring continuously til translucent and pudding-like. Let cool (cover the pot with plastic so it won’t dry out) then add bleach by the Tbsp, until you have consistency and strength you desire. Gel will thin a bit after sitting.
