a dressers repurposed / renewed life
Dressers are so exciting to transform, the possibilities are endless. I wanted to saw my son's little tikes chubby cars in 1/2 & attach them to his bookcase & dresser. My husband thought I had completely lost it. It would've been adorable. I wish now I had done it! LOL I have several boards on repurposing. Like this one, many are broken off into separate categories due to the quantity within my original 1st repurpose, redo & recycle & it’s subsequent (2nd, 3rd, etc) boards.
Here's a little bombe dresser redone with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Paris Grey on the body, Paris Grey & Old White Striae on the drawers, and Graphite underneath silver leafing on the details. The entire piece was triple waxed--first Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax to seal it, Dark Soft Wax to antique it, and another coat of Clear Soft Wax to finish it up!

Transform an old dresser. | 38 Anthropologie Hacks I like the wood tone, the stencil (although I would stencil something else such as 'Fabric', 'Yarn', 'Notions'), and I LOVE the visibility of what is in the drawers. I think this would be a great way to store fabric and yarn. All that color peaking through this fantastic old wood tone.
