Puzzles: great hands on for learning new vocab for students of any age! (Plus this website has lots of ideas for the Spanish classroom.)

This summer I am doing this...she takes you step by step organizing your classroom (starts with materials needed to do so... great site)

Readers, I'd like you to meet my sanity saver. This is where I start each year before working in my classroom. My binder. This baby is my planner, organizer and keep-me-sane-inizer. That's why I'm devoting an entire post to it. No, really, it just plays a huge part in my day and I'm excited to share it in the hopes that it might help that newbie teacher feel a little bit more "above" water. Needless to say, I've got lots of things to share.

If your school has moved to Common Core standards you will love this site. This site is filled with teacher uploaded assessments based on Common Core standards.

Thanksgiving Lesson in Spanish - Reading, Practice, Culture Connections, and Vocabulary. Made by me, Anne Karakash and for sale at Teachers Pay Teachers for two dollars.

Transformations. Use a deck of cards. Use two cards to represent the x and y coordinate and apply the translation/slide to the shape. Use red as negative and black as positive.

Jeopardy generator that can be used with SmartBoard or projected from a computer. I like how this one keeps the score on the side!

Use this at the beginning of the year to get to know your students. Way more fun than a regular worksheet with a list of questions.

A superb collection of downloadable PDF files of puzzles, Sudoku, crosswords, mazes and much more.
