baan: Eeva Jokinen “Rice grain porcelain is an old ceramic method. The wall of an object is first pierced through with a sharp tool. After the biscuit firing the hole is filled with glaze which melts into the hole in the later firing creating a small translucent window.” Reminds me of this bowl but the holes are covered with glaze. Victorian Trading Company Hand Carved Grandfather Clock Old Mr. Jenkins managed the George Hotel in England and was forever perplexed that the tall clock in his lobby would not keep perfect time. Countless clockmakers were called in to no avail. When he passed at age 90, his clock refused to tick again. A popular song followed and thus this classic was christened "Grandfather Clock": Time, Hands Carvings, Vintage Antiques Clocks, Vintage Grandfather Clocks, Vintage Victorian Decor, Wall Clocks, Handcarved Grandfather, Tick Tock, Victorian Antiques
