I love this idea...the mother doesn't want a close up of her after delivery yet it captures the essence of the moment perfectly.
I AM DOING THIS! "Following my high school graduation ceremony my dad handed me a bag with a copy of Oh the Places You’ll Go, by Doctor Seuss inside. I open it up and on the first page I see a short paragraph written by none other than my kindergarten teacher. My dad tells me “Every year, for the past 13 years, since the day you started kindergarten I’ve gotten every teacher, coach, and principal to write a little something about you inside this book." THIS IS AWESOME!!!
Parents in the past embraced boredom. If kids were bored, we told them to clean their rooms, play a game, go outside, or read a book. We turned the problem back on the kids: if you’re bored, find a solution! Today, we accept responsibility for our kids being bored and think it’s our job to fix and ensure our children are entertained. And all too often our quick fix has to do with food. We stick something in their mouths to stop the whining so we can get back to our own busy lives. We’ve forgotte

Decorate the nursery in gray and white, then add color with fabrics once you find out gender. Great if you're waiting until the baby is born to find out gender, adopting a newborn and are open to any gender, or want to be able to quickly, cheaply and easily update the nursery for baby number 2 in the future.
Grey & white - then add the color after you know the gender.
