It is happening all across America-rural landowners wake up one day to find a lucrative offer from an energy company wanting to lease their property. Reason? The company hopes to tap into a reservoir dubbed the "Saudi Arabia of natural gas." Halliburton developed a way to get the gas out of the ground-a hydraulic drilling process called "fracking"-and suddenly America finds itself on the precipice of becoming an energy superpower. Future by Design (2006) Oscar-nominated filmmaker William Gazecki directs this thought-provoking documentary chronicling the life and work of self-taught futurist Jacque Fresco, a Florida-based engineer, designer and inventor who's built his life around forward thinking. Moving away from present-day concepts of commercialism and militarism, Fresco promotes an array of fresh, sustainable alternatives that are viable -- and far from fantastical.

Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease the DVD by Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr., M.D.
The China Study by Dr. T Collin Campbell-Dr. Campbell was a vet doing a study on how to feed sheep & cows better so that humans could eat more of them. It led to a more than 30 year human study on the link between consuming animal products (especially cow's milk) and disease. Fascinating!
