Christmas Baking with a toddler

Each year our kids must choose ten old toys to put in their Santa bags. These must be toys in decent shape that other kids would actually want. We leave the bags under our tree on Christmas Eve. Santa takes the old toys back to the North Pole to fix them up he leaves new toys in the bag. Great way to de-clutter, recycle old toys, and teach the kids about giving.

Pinner says: Cinnamon ornaments-- we have these ornaments on our tree from about 20 years ago and they STILL smell amazing! I'm glad to now know how to make them :)

Salt Dough Santa Handprint Ornaments: 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 water (give or take), knead until dough forms. Make impression and cut out hand shape with a knife leaving a border. Poke a hole in the top for hanging. Bake at 200F for 3 hours. Paint, seal and ready to hang :)

Every year put your kids hand prints on a plain tree skirt! Over the years it will be a FUN keepsake! Fun memories at Christmas time!
