When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead. I love love love this book. I cried when I read it the first time. It has time travel, an adolescent girl coping with really tough stuff and clever metaphors and puzzles to solve. So amazing.

Although it is a movie, not a book, Liberal Arts was filmed at my alma mater, Kenyon College by another Alum Josh Radnor. Zac Efron is the out-and-out star of the film, playing a mystical character who is playful, deep, sober even as he seems stoned, and I want to marry him and have 10,000 of his babies. He appears and reappears so that near the end, Radnor's character Jesse wonders if he even exists.
