Cave in Rock State Park
Cave In Rock, IL Although I never officially lived here it is worth mention because my family spent weekends first at my grandparents summer trailer and then later in my parents summer cabin every summer from as early as I can remember being able to swim (3 or 4). My parents built a home on their property just about a mile down the road from this cave overlooking the Ohio river. They moved there two years ago.

The SS Moyie steamboat is docked at Kaslo, BC on Kootenay Lake. My grandpa used to shovel coal on it when he first came to the West Kootenays. If you needed to be picked up you just lit a fire on the beach and it wold come get you. It would put its nose right up on the beach and then reverse paddle and back out.
