Classroom valentines day
Candy Cane Pops made out of mini candy canes and candy coating!
While wandering through the craft store a couple weeks ago I happened upon a lot of Valentine's Day merchandise with the term "love bug." Although it was all pretty cheesy and very girly, it inspired this years non-candy version for Owen's 1st grade class. Owen is all boy so the idea of handing out plastic bugs to his classmates thrilled him.
Love Bug Valentines.
Valentine's Day church bulletin board display ~ Love God with all your heart.
"Tweethearts" Door Decoration - Thank You Life in First Grade!

Book: My Heart is like a Zoo...read around valentines day to go along with all the heart animal projects we do!
Tree of Hearts collage made of old magazines. This would be a great activity to do during "Random Acts of Kindness Week" or when talking about the character trait "Caring." Instead of using magazine hearts have students write ways to care on hearts. Then, put up around the room or near your class management bulletin board.
