Hood Ornaments/Emblems/Model Names
During the Golden Age of automobiles, the Hood Ornament (and before that the Radiator Cap) was the most prominent feature of a car's aesthetics. The Hood Ornament did more than identify a make; it defined the car's style! Sing praise to the chrome logos and lettering (fonts) affixed to these vintage automobiles for they to are fantastic as well. I'm just fantasied by them all!

Chevrolet Nomad. The 1955-57 Nomad featured a part-bird, part-airplane hood ornament that insinuated far greater performance credentials than this station wagon could ever possibly offer. Flickr Creative Commons photo. Photograph by: Marie Carter, Flickr
