Golf Images I dig

Francis Ouimet being carried by spectators following his famous 1913 U.S. Open win holding a horseshoe. Eddie Lowery, the 10-year-old boy who was his caddie for the match, is in the foreground with a towel around his neck. The original caption read: "Good Luck! Francis Ouimet on the shoulders of the crowd just after winning the Open Championship"

California Golf Club of San Francisco California Golf: Forget the unwieldy name — those in the know simply call it the "Cal Club" — but remember the layout. Originally routed by Willie Locke, then constructed in 1926 by architect A. Vernon Macan, Cal Club received the Alister MacKenzie treatment two years later.
