DIY - If you buy a house and can't afford upgrades: Change out your builder grade brass shower trim using Rustoleum's Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint ... what would cost you $800 to replace, will only cost you $5 to paint. Holds up well with the water because it is indoor/outdoor paint..... (Pinner says: I also did this with my light fixtures when we moved into our house)

This lady tells you how to redo furniture WITHOUT sanding or anything! And she swears by benjamin moore ironclad latex low lustre metal and wood enamel. Also she uses cheap foam rollers from walmart and cheap foam brushes from hobby lobby. First, Cut in the trim and angles with the foam brush then roll on the paint with the roller. Even easier... hittin up yard sales soon!

I need to remember this!!! Soak steel wool in apple cider vinegar, rub down new wood with the soaked steel wool for an instantly aged wood look. Good to know for "vintage" signs. Need to try this

Separate your wall colors. This is SUCH a good idea!! I dont like two colors coming together on a corner and this is the fix for that! This would also be a great fix for the beat-up corners in the house.
