My Summer 2014 Reading List
The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. Wish I'd saved this one for the beach next week. Really quick interesting read
This book showed me how beautiful nature can be no matter how tough my childhood was. There is always something so beautiful to focus on with all the chaos around you. "Where you tend a rose, my lad, A thistle cannot grow."
Where'd You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple - January 2013
The Pact. Just finished. I thought it was a pretty good love/tragedy story. It followed a lot of the characters though and some of their stories just kind of fell off the map towards the end. Just felt a little unfinished and rushed a bit at the end, but overall a good read. Book Club, Reading, Picoult, Pact Ebook, Book Worth, Book Beauty, Pact Cheapread, Cheap Ebook, Beauty Book
Very unlike other Stephen King books. (who I do love) But this is the Best book I've read in a long time. If you liked the show LOST you will love this book.
Water For Elephants: Excellent read
Highly Recommend - i thought the ending was disappointing (though others might love the twist), but i really enjoyed the fearful world the author created and the piecemeal manner in which the reader comes to understand it. Bread and Jam for Frances. I read this book to rags and was especially moved because my favorite food was spaghetti (she starts crying because she wants spaghetti too instead of her self-imposed bread and jam diet). It spoke to me ;) Little Girls, Remember This, School Libraries, Schools Libraries, Growing Up, Childhood Book, Favorite Book, Book Clubs, Children Book
great kids book: Bread and Jam For Frances
First in the Anne Rice trilogy about the Mayfair family. Fantastic!
I read this book shortly after the passing of my brother William and I must say it brought a different perspective and an odd sense of comfort that his reality while very different then mine now is still one filled with love, friendship and above all else the greatest understanding of life as we each call it. Def. not your average novel but I highly recommend this book to anyone that has lost a friend, love or family. Worth Reading, Book Worms, Book Fiction, Book Stuff, Book Worth, Favorite Authors, Mitch Albom, Favorite Book, Great Book
going to have to go through this list. I'm sure i've already read a ton since I did both my BA and MA coursework in English Literature.
