This Check Your Pockets sign in the laundry room of the “European Elegance” home (with jars to stash change, pens, candy, and money before they go into the washer) is a cute functional idea. Plus it’s inspiration to make sign art from scrap wood with any message stenciled on the front.

I've been begging Donald to use our scrap floor wood to make a table, but this idea is pretty cool too. Maybe I can mix and match? Floor wood in creative ruler-like pattern?

8.03.2011 Mason Jar Light Tutorial I must say... this project freaking ROCKS!  I'm so in love with how it turned out, it's SUPER simple, and I'm so excited to show you how you can make one!!! It's part of my outdoor living space for True Value.  It was inspired by something similar I saw on pinterest, but I didn't see any tutorials out there that really show just how you can make one.... until now!  The big reveal....... I had a few ideas for what I wanted to do for lighting ...

Twig Sign - This is my version of a twig sign I found on Etsy (see Decorating Ideas for the original). I made this using a piece of scrap wood we had sitting around, some twigs from my yard, some twine, a few shells, a couple of flowers, and some craft paint. I had all of the items for this project around my house. The most challenging part was finding twigs to use that would make the letters I needed. It took about a hour to make. I love the finished product. Very cool!

Ribbon holder. This space making idea cost me absolutely nothing to make. I used wood scraps my hubby had but now I can buy more ribbon and not worry about where to put it.

Cool playhouse for the kiddies...when they outgrow it, you can turn it into a greenhouse. Great idea for recycling scrap wood from other projects and old windows.
