Gardening ~ Caladiums
AKA ~Elephant Ear, Angel Wings & Heart of Jesus. *All parts of the plant are poisonous & should not be ingested, also may irritate sensitive skin.
But by the summer of 2011...the garden is maturing quite nicely. Hints of other colors can be found at different times of the year such as the pink in Miss Muffet caladiums in summer. And, spring brings a complement of blue color from flag iris, Regina iris, and African iris, but predominantly the garden is varying shades of white and green.

Caladiums, great shade plants... From Southern Living 82 creative container gardens
My mom has been growing these since before I started school (yeah a loonnngg time), anyways one year one plant in her bedroom got almost this big. The older lady that got her started had hers planted next to her house and never dug them up and they survived. Not sure what she did, because they aren't supposed to in Southern Ohio...
